A party for millionnaires at Porto Montenegro
The airport of Tivat in Montenegro, will be this week’s busiest airport , even more crowded than Heathrow on Christmas Eve. Nat Rothschild, son of the fourth Baron Rothschild, is celebrating his 40th birthday at the famous marina for super yachts of tycoons in Porto Montenegro.
Invitations for the weekend parties have been sent to billionaire tycoons, managers in speculative hedge funds, world- known art dealers and personalities from Eastern Europe, these are some of the 150 personalities- closest friends of Mr. Rothschild. Nat Rothschild is one of the limited group of brokers who continue to have spectacular success in times of economic crisis.
The party will cost a million and will focus on the impressive marina of Porto Montenegro, a sort of “playground for a multimillionaire,” in which Nat Rothschild is an investor. Among the guests is Deripaska Oleg, one of the richest people in Russia, British Lord Mandelson, art dealer Jay Jopling and British-born writer and socialite in New York, Plam Sykes.
“He has very good connections,” told London ”Times” Peter Munk, the 80 year-old Canadian billionaire who is the mentor of Rothschilds and has also invested in Porto Montenegro. “You may open his agenda and find a pile of contacts in Beijing, Moscow or Kiev.”
The total “net value” of guests at the party is estimated for several billion euros, while there will be many beautiful women. One of these may be the Princess Florence von Preussen, the 27-year old great grand-daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II, with whom Rothschild is said to have a ”close” relationship.
Porto Montenegro is a wonderful corner of the Adriatic, where the mountains plunge into deep water and can accommodate large yachts. Most guests will not stay on board but at the hotel ”Splendid” where James Bond “Casino Royale” was filmed.
